One of Champagne’s hidden treasures, Canard-Duchêne produces a lively style that is fresh and yet satisfying. I have tasted these wines over the last decade and they are very consistent. Medium straw, light yellow in color, steady beads; a triumphant aroma of fresh apples, light yeast and brisk mineral; medium bodied, bright and sassy on the palate; dry, very good acidity, well balanced; bright, tart apple flavors; lively aftertaste.
